I provide a very personal service, providing unique artwork on an individual commission basis. This page will hopefully demonstrate how this service is delivered, although if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
To commission a piece of artwork is a relatively simple process.
Firstly contact me by e-mail or post to request a commission, providing your contact details and a preferably high quality photo (or photos) of the desired subject in your required imaginative and characteristic pose. The photo(s) can be in either hard copy format if sending by post, or electronic format (as a .jpg, .bmp or .pdf file) if sending via e-mail. After the artwork is completed, your photo(s) will be returned to you. For pictures with multiple subjects, I am happy to combine a number of separate photos of individuals to create a realistic group composition.
Then specify the media (pencil or watercolour) and size (A3 or A4) that you will require. I would recommend that A4 pictures are chosen for a maximum of one single subject and A3 pictures are chosen for up to a maximum of three subjects. Greater subject numbers can be accommodated but we will need to discuss how this can be done to the best effect, given the subject matter. Special bespoke sizes (square, for example) can also be provided, although the feasibility of any such specialist requirements will also need to be reviewed at the time of commissioning. I appreciate that price will be a main consideration in your choice and therefore please refer to my price guide for details to help you decide. Any framing requirements will also need to be confirmed at this time. See Mounts and Frames for details.
Once the above choices are confirmed and the work is commissioned, I shall endeavour to complete your piece of artwork within two weeks. Once I have finished it, I can email you a low resolution proof of the completed work for your approval via return of this email. Any desired caption can also be requested and incorporated below the picture at this stage in the same email.
Upon approval, I will mount and frame the piece as required and, following receipt and clearance of payment will post it to your chosen address.
As mentioned above, I aim to deliver completed pieces within two weeks from receiving your photo and media/size requirements. This is my current turnaround time, although please note that this may change during busy times. However, I will give you an estimated delivery time upon commissioning.
